|SDO||Streaming Data Optimization||Introduced in v8.6 for minute and above charts. Introduced in v8.8 Update 6073 for multi-tick and volume charts. In real-time only (i.e. not for historic data) it reduces the amount of data arriving at your desktop. The advantage is that it reduces the processing load on your PC, helping to reduce ‘freezes’. The disadvantage is that it will affect volume based analysis techniques that need every tick of data to calculate correctly.|
|SPD||Starting Point Dependence||A Starting Point Dependent calculation (used in indicators/strategies/functions) is one that produces different results if it uses, for example, 100 bars in its calculation then if it uses 200 bars. This can affect how indicators look or strategies trade if you don’t have enough bars in your chart or RadarScreen.|
|Study||A study means an Indicator, PaintBar or ShowMe. These are different from a Strategy.|
|TDE||TradeStation Development Environment||Prior to v8.8 of TradeStation EasyLanguage code was created and edited in the ‘EasyLanguage Editor’ which was integrated into TradeStation. From v8.8 onwards EasyLanguage code is created, edited and managed in separate application called the ‘TDE’.|
